T-300 Process Summary
The operator places a stack of trays onto the input station. Upon receipt of
a “start” signal from the user, the bottom tray in the stack is automatically
un-stacked. A set of transport belts immediately move the tray onto a positioner
station where it is clamped accurately in place in both x and y axis.
The handler then signals the user to begin processing the tray, i.e.,
inspecting, dispensing, etc.
When the tray has been completely processed, the user signals the handler,
and the tray automatically travels to the output station, where it is stacked.
While the finished tray is being stacked, the next tray is being un-stacked
and advanced onto the positioner station, and the process repeats.
Feeding trays from the bottom of the input stack allows the operator to add
new trays to the system at any time without halting the process. Likewise,
adding trays to the bottom of the output stack allows finished trays to be
removed at any time without process interruption.
T-320 Features
- Standard system handles thick and thin JEDEC trays. Vacuum or thermal formed custom trays can also be accommodated (consult APT).
- Automatic sensing of tray presence/absence in stack.
- Smooth start/stop motion via micro-stepper prevents component shift or
upset in tray.
- Low stack sensing at input and full stack sensing at output, with
operator alerts.
- Auto-check routine at start of each new production run.
- Internal controller monitors the system and alerts the operator if a
fault condition is detected.
- Trays are accurately clamped in position, in both x and y axis, for
processing.
- On-board controller directs all motions and interfaces with the user’s
PC/PLC via simple signal exchange. No special user software is required for
integration.
- Top side loading and un-loading provides easy access so trays may be
added or removed at any time without process interruption.
- Diagnostics mode allows manual checking of all sensors and actuators for
proper operation.
- Solid design details and rugged construction assure reliable performance
and long operating life.
The T-320 is a modular system that may be configured with the positioner
(processing module) located either in the center (video #2) or at the end of the
system (video #1).
Also, the T-320 may be configured with multiple processing stations as shown
in video #2.
